Cartonomy’s concept from day 1 was to make the experience of shopping online with other people as authentic and enjoyable as a day out shopping with friends.
Since we started, we’ve seen companies roll out pieces of a social experience, but nothing that combines chat, order sharing, and budgeting in one platform. We set about to make the social shopping experience available everywhere people shop online.
That’s why we’ve chosen to launch our first group shopping app on Shopify, the fastest growing e-commerce platform in the universe. Our app lets any Shopify merchant bring the features of the Cartonomy platform to their customers instantly when they install through the Shopify app store. It turns any existing Shopify store into a social store with a few clicks with absolutely no setup or developer costs – just a reasonable monthly subscription.
We are rapidly developing similar solutions for other ecommerce platforms as well as big retail sites. No one should have to experience giving out their personal password, or pinging people via text, email, or social media, when there’s a simpler way to browse, buy, and bond that feels more like going shopping together.
